Damascus, SANA – The Russian Ambassador in Damascus Alexander Kinshchak discussed on Tuesday with the Palestinian Ambassador Anwar Abdul-Hadi the latest political developments in the region.
During the meeting which was held at the Russian Embassy in Damascus, the two sides denounced the Israeli aggression on the Syrian territory, asserting Syria’s right in defending its lands and its sovereignty.
They considered the Syrian National Dialogue Congress successful as its outcomes confirm that the intra-Syrian dialogue is the only solution to end the crisis in Syria without external intervention.
The Russian Ambassador, for his part, said that Russia’s position is consistent in supporting Palestinian rights on a fair basis that guarantees the Palestinian people the right to self-determination and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with al-Quds (Jerusalem) as its capital.
