Syria and Lebanon discuss judicial cooperation

Damascus, SANA- Justice Minister Hisham al-Sha’ar discussed Thursday with Lebanese Ambassador in Damascus Saad Zakhia cooperation relations between Syria and Lebanon in Judicial field and mechanisms of implementing joint judicial agreements.

Al-Sha’ar said that the ministry has prepared three draft judicial agreements related to civil and commercial matters, personal status, extradition and criminal matters.

The Minister affirmed the importance of coming up with new ideas and proposals to avoid any difficulties that disturb the historical relations between the two countries.

For his part, Zakhia described the cooperation relations binding the two brotherly countries as humanitarian and strategic, stressing the need to revive the signed agreements in the field of judicial work.
