Temperatures to drop, rain expected in most areas across the country

Damascus, SANA- Temperatures remain from 3 to 5 degrees above average as the country is affected by a superficial high air pressure accompanied by southwestern airstreams in the upper layers of the atmosphere.

The meteorology Department expected in its Monday bulletin that the skies will be partly cloudy in general; local rain showers are expected to develop on the coastal areas and the western mountains.

The wind will be southern to southeastern of low speed and the sea waves will be low in amplitude.

The expected temperatures in some major Syrian cities are as follows: Damascus 19/08, Daraa 18/08, Homs 19/09, Hama 18/09, Lattakia 23/15, Aleppo 19/06 and Deir Ezzor 20/08.
