Damascus, SANA – Industry Minister Kamal Eddin Taameh discussed on Tuesday with the Damascus Chamber of Commerce board of directors means to overcome difficulties and obstacles facing industrialists who facilities were put out of service by terrorists.
Minister Taameh stressed the need for coordination between the Ministry and the Chamber to address issues affecting industrialists, noting that the Ministry offered to start partnerships with the private sector to invest in available resources and benefit both sides.
He stressed the need for projects and investments that supply local markets with goods and provide exports as well, calling on industrialists who left the country to return to help kick-start production.
For his part, Chairman of the Chamber’s board of directors Bassel Hamwi noted that the Ministry contributed greatly to overcoming obstacles affecting industrialists, and that the Chamber is working on a plan to develop and rehabilitate industrial facilities and promote Syrian products in foreign markets after meeting local markets’ needs.
