27th WFP humanitarian aid plane lands in Qamishli

Hasaka, SANA – A new humanitarian aid plane from the 4th airlift provided by the World Food Program (WFP) landed on Tuesday at al-Qamishli Airport.

The WFP office in Qamishli city said that the airlift, which was due to be suspended on August 16th , has been extended.

The office added that the WFP distributed 10,000 food portions to the Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC) branch in Hasaka, the Armenian Association, and al-Berr Association as to be distributed to poor and displaced people.

Those food portions are a part of the monthly amount (45,000 portions) allocated for the province.

The office noted that a new plane will arrive soon with relief aid on board.
