Moscow, SANA – Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova affirmed that Russia is ready to work with all the partners for reaching a political settlement for crisis in Syria and eliminating terrorism in it.
During a press briefing held in Moscow on Thursday, Zakharaova said “We detected that the terrorists’ activities near Damascus and Hama had been well synchronized and very thoroughly worked out.”
Moscow “is disappointed by the assessments of these events by some opposition politicians and certainly Western and regional mass media outlets that try to justify the terrorists,” said Zakharaova, stressing that “this propaganda game is inadmissible.”
“Everyone should understand that any activities involving al-Nusra, the Islamic State and other branches of Al-Qaeda should be condemned decisively and in absolute terms,” she added.
“We urge all members of the US coalition to show in their actions the most balanced and responsible approach to the fulfillment of the tasks set for the defeat of terrorists in Syria and Iraq in order to prevent numerous civilian casualties,” Zakharova said at a briefing.
“The position in which the departure of a legitimate president of a UN member state is declared a condition for rendering assistance to the population of that country is paradoxical,” Zakharova said at the briefing. “an impression is created that this is already some sort of blackmail, that Paris has completely lost the concept of the values of humanism,” she added.
