Damascus, SANA – United Nations Resident Coordinator in Syria Ali al-Zaatari expressed on Thursday his sorrow over the death of tens of innocent people due to the two terrorist bombings which took place in Damascus on Wednesday.
“Me and my colleagues cannot but express our deep sorrow for this number of innocent victims of the two incidents that happened yesterday in Damascus city,” al-Zaatari said in a statement.
He wished a speedy recovery to the injured and expressed his condolences to the families of the dead people.
“I join my voice to all those who call for peace in Syria, which will win over terrorism,” he added.
