Homs Province and WFP discuss cooperation

Homs, SANA- Homs governor Talal al-Barazi discussed on Monday with representative of the World Food Program (WFP) in Syria Jakob Kern means of implementing the WFP program in the province through setting up development projects and moving from distributing the food packages to producing
them.

Al-Barazi pointed out that the WFP program was completely implemented during the past year, indicating that a great attention was given to the implementation of the program for providing the basic needs to the citizen in the areas affected by the terrorist acts.

For his part, Kern expressed the importance of continuing cooperation between the WFP and the concerned parties in Homs province to carry out the plan of the current year.

He pointed out that the WFP aims at rehabilitating a number of bakeries, establishing agricultural projects and varied projects in cooperation with other UN organizations to rehabilitate the damaged houses, asserting that the program pays attention to the issues of pregnant women and infants.
