Eliasson: UN investigators collecting evidences in the area of attack on humanitarian aid convoy in Aleppo

Geneva, SANA- UN Deputy Secretary-General Jan Eliasson announced on Friday that the UN investigators are in the area where the attack on a convoy of humanitarian aid in Oram al-Kubra town in Aleppo countryside took place in September.

In a press conference in Geneva, Eliasson pointed out that the investigators will bringthe issue to the UN Security Council if they able to identify who carried the attack out after collecting the evidences.

“We know that it is a difficult mission because it a mission where access is very difficult. We know manipulation of evidence can take place and evidence can disappear,” Eliasson said.

He added that “an attack of this nature constitutes without any doubt a war crime.”
