Geneva, SANA – The office of UN Special Envoy for Syria Staffan de Mistura said that the meetings between the envoy and Iranian officials discussed the situation in Aleppo.
The office said in a statement on Sunday that the meetings touched on the cessation of combat activities, the removal of Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists, and the delivery of humanitarian aid to eastern and western Aleppo.
The statement also said that de Mistura continues to call on the international community to convince Syrian sides to return to the negotiations table in Geneva to discuss the political process.
