Kremlin: Russia supports the Syrian government

Moscow, SANA- Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov on Friday reiterated the importance of separating “the opposition” from terrorists in Syria.

Peskov added in a statement that Russia supports the Syrian Government which has no substitute except “Jabhat al-Nusra and ISIS terrorist organizations.”

The Russian official said that it is very difficult to reach a political settlement and a
solution to the crisis in Syria without Russian-American cooperation.

Russia has repeatedly called on Washington to separate what it names as “moderate opposition” from terrorists.
