Turkish artillery targets villages in Aleppo’s Efrin in new act of aggression on Syrian sovereignty

Aleppo, SANA – The Turkish regime’s forces continued acts of aggression on the Syrian territory, shelling with artillery a number of villages and towns in Efrin area north of Aleppo city, four days after they had penetrated into the Syrian territory and attacked locals in Sourkeh village in Efrin and Ballout village in the nearby Jindeiris area.

Corresponding local and media sources in Efrin area said the Turkish artillery targeted with more than 13 shells the villages of Deir Ballout, Hamam, Mulla Khalil and Midan Ekbis in Rajo area after midnight on Wednesday.

The sources pointed out that new Turkish assault caused significant material damage to the houses with no human casualties.

Meanwhile, Turkish warplanes heavily bombed the villages of Hasieh, Um al-Qura and Um Hawsh south of Marea city, claiming the lives of tens of people and causing huge material damage.

The Turkish army acknowledged in a statement reported by Reuters that its combat jets carried out 26 raids inside the Syrian territory to the north of Aleppo city claiming that the raids targeted Kurdish militants. 200 were reported killed and a number of their vehicles were destroyed in the raids.
