A car transporting ammunition to terrorists in northern Hama seized in Lattakia

Lattakia, SANA – The Customs Department in Lattakia seized on Thursday a car loaded with an amount of shells and ammunition meant to be smuggled to the terrorist organizations in the northern countryside of Hama province.

The car was monitored and tracked down based on prior information, and the driver was arrested, Brig. Gen. Saeed Sbeih of the Department told reporters.

The seized munitions, which were hidden in the car, included 47 RPG rounds and 44 machinegun bullet boxes.

Attempt to smuggle weapons to ISIS in Sweida countryside frustrated

The popular defense groups frustrated on Friday an attempt to smuggle weapons to ISIS terrorist organization in the eastern countryside of Sweida province.

In a statement to SANA, a source at Sweida Governorate said that one of popular defense groups seized a car loaded with a number of Grad missiles that were bound for ISIS terrorists in the eastern countryside of Sweida.
