Bogdanov affirms Moscow firm adherence to principles of settling crisis in Syria

Moscow, SANA- The Russian President’s Special Representative for the Middle East and Africa, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov discussed with Syria’s Ambassador in Moscow Ryiad Hadad the military and political situation in Syria, the implementation of the Russian-US agreement, and unifying efforts for facing the danger of terrorism till eliminating it.

The Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Monday that talks shed lights on the pressing need for adhering to the truce regime by the armed groups.

The Ministry indicated that the Russian side asserted Moscow’s firm adherence to the principles of solving the crisis in Syria through the rapid resumption of talks between the delegations of the Syrian Government and the “opposition” without preconditions and on the basis of the UN Security Council’s resolution No. 2254 and the resolutions of the Syria Support Group “SSG”.

For his part, Ambassador Hadad indicated that the attack launched by the aircrafts of the Washington-led alliance against positions of the Syrian army near Deir Ezzor was in the framework of supporting the armed terrorist groups and it wasn’t a mistake.

He added that there is no difference between the practices of the ISIS terrorist organization and what the US army is doing as the Americans are exploiting the humanitarian situation and the truce regime to continue the war against the Syrian state.
