Iran condemns the terrorist bombing in Qamishli

Tehran, SANA- Iran condemned the deadly bombing that hit the northeastern Syrian city of Qamishli on Wednesday.

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Qasemi said Thursday “terrorism is a common threat to peace and security in the region and beyond.”

“In order to overcome terrorism crisis in the region, the roots of extremist Takfiri ideology should get eliminated,” he added.

Qasemi called for serious international resolution and will against terrorism and urged cutting the financial, arms and logistic support for terrorist organizations.

Scores of civilians were killed and wounded on Wednesday in a car bomb explosion on the road between al-Hialiyeh roundabout and Youth City roundabout on the western outskirts of al-Qameshli city in Hasaka province.
