Damascus, SANA – The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology granted full scholarships to the Syrian Scientific Olympiad students who won medals in international mathematical Olympiads and are willing to study at the University.
Few days ago, the Syrian Science Olympiad team that took part in the 57th International Mathematical Olympiad in Hong Kong earned 3 bronze medals and 3 certificates of appreciations, improving Syria’s international ranking up to the 48th place.
In a statement to SANA, Head of the National Commission for the Syrian Science Olympiad Imad al-Azb said the scholarships provided by the University will cover tuition, residence and living expenses.
He noted that the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology is ranked the first university on Asia’s level and 28th internationally.
