Damascus, SANA – The national team of the Syrian Science Olympiad is taking part in the competitions of the International Physics Olympiad (IPhO) in Switzerland that kicked off on Sunday.
The IPHO competitions will run through July 16th.
In a statement to SANA, Head of the National Commission for the Syrian Science Olympiad Imad al-Azb said the international participations of the Olympiad teams followed a period of training that concluded with the central scientific forum in Damascus that lasted for three weeks.
He expressed the hope that the Syrian team will achieve important results in Switzerland competitions.
The Syrian Science Olympiad teams have made more than 45 achievements in global and regional events.
