Damascus, SANA – Temperatures will rise to become 2 to 4 degrees above average as the country is influenced by the Indian low pressure system accompanied by southwestern air currents in the upper layers of the atmosphere.
The Meteorology Department expected in its Wednesday bulletin that the skies will be clear and partly cloudy in general with a chance of local rain showers in the coastal areas, while the weather will be misty and hot in the eastern, al-Jazira and al-Badiya (desert) areas.
The wind will be westerly to northwesterly of light to moderate speed, and the sea waves will be low in amplitude.
The expected temperatures in some major Syrian cities will be as follows: Damascus 36/24, Daraa 33/22, Homs 32/21, Lattakia 30/24, Aleppo 36/24 and Deir Ezzor 40/26.
