Damascus, SANA-The General Command of the Army and Armed Forces confirmed on Tuesday the killing of number of citizens and the occurrence of significant material damage in al-Dhabeet Hospital due to an extensive attack launched by terrorist on residential neighborhoods in the city of Aleppo.
In a statement, the General Command said that while domestic and international efforts are exerted to enhance the cessation of hostilities and apply the truce in Aleppo, Jabhat al-Nusra, Ahrar al-Cham, Jaish al-Islam, and other terrorist organizations launched a fierce attack from several directions on Aleppo, preceded by heavy shelling of the residential neighborhoods in the city, which claimed the lives of many citizens and injured many others.
The General Command added that terrorist groups targeted al-Dhbeet hospital in al-Muhafaza neighborhood with rocket shells, raising the number of civilian victims and causing considerable material damage to the hospital.
The General Command concluded its statement by saying that that the Army and Armed Forces are currently repelling the attacks and responding to the sources of fire, inflicting heavy losses upon terrorists.
