Tuesday weather: Temperatures to rise, skies partly cloudy

Damascus, SANA- The temperatures will rise to become from 3 to 5 degrees higher than average as the country is being affected by a superficial low air pressure coming from the southeast and accompanied by western air currents in the upper layers of the atmosphere.

The Meteorology Department expected in its Tuesday bulletin that the skies will be partly cloudy to cloudy and rain showers are expected in the northwestern and the coastal areas at night while the weather will be misty in the eastern, al-Jazeera and al-Badyia “desert” areas.

The wind will be westerly to northwesterly with a light to moderate speed and the sea waves will be low in height.

Tomorrow, the temperatures will notably drop to become from 2 to 4 degrees below average as the skies will be partly cloudy in general to cloudy sometimes and local rain showers are expected in the northern, coastal and al-Jazeera areas while the weather will be misty in the eastern and al-Badyia areas and the wind will be westerly.

The expected temperatures in the major Syrian cities will be as follows: Damascus 33/19, Daraa 32/17, Homs 28/16, Hama 34/18, Hasaka 32/18, Lattakia 25/17, Aleppo 32/16 and Deir Ezzor 35/19.
