Moscow, SANA – Russia’s permanent representative to the EU Vladimir Chizhov renewed his country’s assertion of the need for a political solution to the crisis in Syria.
Russia Today Website quoted Chizhov as saying to the British BBC Channel that the goals of Russia are transparent and stated and they are represented through reaching a political solution in Syria, which is publicly supported by President Bashar al-Assad.
In another context, Chizhov said that the main group of the Russian forces came back from Syria after finishing its task in combating terrorist organizations there, expressing sorrow over the negative attitude of some western countries particularly Britain regarding the Russian actions.
On Friday, Chizhov asserted that the actions taken by EU’s officials to plug the channels, along which finances are pumped to terrorists in Syria, are insufficient and more attention should be given to the illegal trading in oil terrorists engage in with assistance from Turkey.
