Geneva, SANA – The delegation of the Syrian Arab Republic at the Syrian talks in Geneva, headed by Bashar al-Jaafari, held on Thursday a meeting with UN Special Envoy for Syria Staffan de Mistura at the UN HQ.
Media sources mentioned that the draft document which de Mistura handed to the Republic delegation during the session of talks yesterday stresses that all the Syrian parties should respect the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Syria.
De Mistura outlined in the document 12 basic items on which the parties to the intra-Syrian dialogue are expected to reach a unified position, according to the sources.
The draft document also states that Syria is seen as an indivisible secular state.
