Damascus, SANA – Temperatures remain slightly above average as the country is under the influence of low air pressure accompanied by southwestern air currents in the upper layers of the atmosphere.
The Meteorology Department expected in its Friday bulletin that the skies will be partly cloudy in general with a chance of local rainfalls over the coastal heights and in the northern areas. The weather will be cold at night.
The department warned of frost forming over mountains and fog in some inland areas.
The wind will be easterly to southeasterly of low to moderate speed and the sea waves will be of low amplitude.
The expected temperatures in some of the main Syrian cities will be as follows: Damascus 14/04, Daraa 13/05, Homs 11/03, Hama 13/ 03, Hasaka 12/05, Lattakia 20/11, Tartous 20/09, Aleppo 11/03 and Deir Ezzor 14/05.
