Sweida, SANA – The authorities in the southern Sweida province arrested a car-theft gang that had been using the stolen cars in smuggling operations.
A source at Sweida Police Command told SANA reporter that the gang’s members confessed that they had stolen a number of cars after leasing them.
They also admitted to selling the stolen cars in villages on the border between Sweida and Daraa province, namely in al-Dour and Ara villages, and using them to smuggle weapons and fuel to the terrorist organizations, according to the source.
