Damascus, SANA – The UN Special Envoy to Syria Staffan de Mistura said he has discussed the outcomes of Vienna meeting during his visit to Damascus, as neither the government, nor the opposition was present at the meeting.
De Mistura said in a statement to reporters on Monday, it is of his duties to inform all Syrians on the result of Vienna meeting, adding “the level of violence should be decreased as to create the impression that Vienna outcome has a genuine effect on the ground.”
He affirmed that the special working groups will be formed to follow up with the results of the Vienna meeting.
