Beijing, SANA – Presidential Political and Media Advisor Dr. Bouthaina Shaaban affirmed on Wednesday that China supports Damascus and Moscow positions in support of the Syrian people’s right to decide their own future without external interference.
In a statement to al-Mayadeen TV channel, Shaaban said that there are Chinese fears of the return of Uighurs from Syria to wage attacks in China.
On Tuesday, Shaaban had met the Chinese Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Zhang Ming and discussed with him the latest developments regarding the crisis in Syria and the counter-terrorism efforts.
