Signs of optimism for practical steps at “Rebuild Syria 2015” Exhibition

Damascus, SANA – “Rebuild Syria 2015” Exhibition seems to attract more visitors on its second day, held at Damascus International Fairgrounds.

Defying terrorism, many local, Arab and foreign companies have participated in the exhibition, showing signs of optimism that they tend to move from the stage of conviction and belief in future prospects to taking practical steps in the course of the post-crisis reconstruction process in Syria.

Jean Pierre Sebali, the general manager of the Lebanese Sebali Company said he believes that the Syrian market is promising for investment in the near future since it is one of the most important markets in the region.

For his part, Nabil Maghrebiya, commercial director of a participant German company, said that their participation in the exhibition came because they believe in the Syrian market, explaining that they have known the Syrian market quite well as we were present in Syria, particularly in Aleppo, before the current crisis.

“Today we are back to Syria to restore our previous relationships with the merchants and businessmen,” Maghrebiya added, referring to a study at its final stage that is conducted by the company for starting investments in the production and marketing field in Syria.

“Rebuild Syria 2015” Exhibition, which kicked off on Wednesday, is open until September 20th.

Organized by al-Bashek Establishment for international trade and fairs, it is an international commercial exhibition specialized in construction with all its sectors, environment, energy and its equipment, health services, agriculture, communications, water technologies, security services, information technology, tourism, alimentary products, and all other related services and fields.

Some 65 local, Arab and foreign companies are taking part in the exhibition.
