Delegation from Golan and Palestine denounces Israeli prison sentence against Naffa’a

Occupied Galilee, SANA- People in the occupied Syrian Golan and the Palestinian Popular Committee for Solidarity with Syria condemned the Israeli prison sentence of one and a half year against the activist and lawyer Said Naffa’a.

A delegation from the occupied Syrian Golan and the Palestinian Popular Committee expressed solidarity with the lawyer during a visit to his house in the village of Beit Jen in Galilee to the north of occupied Palestine.

In turn, Naffa’a said that he was not targeted as a person in particular but the decision is aimed at targeting the project of “communication among the people of the same root in Syria, Lebanon and Palestine” which bothered the occupation authorities and which they have been fighting for years.

The Israeli occupation arrested Naffa’a on charges of visiting Syria in September 2007 with a delegation from the 1948 Palestinians, sentencing him for one and a half year. The sentence will come into force next October.
