British media delegation visits makeshift housing center in Lattakia

Lattakia, SANA- A media delegation from the British BBC Radio and Channel visited on Monday a makeshift housing center in the sports city in Lattakia and inspected the health, relief and educational services provided by the province to the families displaced by terrorism.

Lattakia governor Ibrahim Khudr al-Salem provided a thorough explanation about the situation in the province which hosts displaced citizens from other provinces who are now twice the number of its inhabitants.

The province provides the arrivals with the necessary aid ranging from free medical services at a health center equipped with medical equipment to education at a school in the sports city, as well as water, electricity and food, the governor added.

Al-Salem called on the media to familiarize the public opinion with the situation in Syria away from media misinformation, lies and fabrication.

In reply to a question about the delegation’s impression about what they had seen, the head of the delegation journalist Jermy Bowen said they were deeply touched, noting that the governorate is exerting immense efforts to equip the arrivals with what they need.
