Bogdanov discusses with Saudi Ambassador situation in Middle East, including in Syria and Iraq

Moscow, SANA – Russian President’s Special Representative for the Middle East and Africa, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov met on Tuesday with the Saudi Ambassador in Moscow Abdulrahman al-Rassi at the latter’s request.

The Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Tuesday that both sides exchanged viewpoints about situation in the Middle East, including in Syria and Iraq.

The statement noted that there was stress during the meeting on the two countries’ desire to boost political cooperation in the international and regional affairs.

Moscow has recently witnessed an intensive diplomatic activity following the announcement of the initiative of Russian President Valdimir Putin to form a wide alliance to combat terrorism.
