Homs, SANA – The Customs Department confiscated a car loaded with a large quantity of ammunition near al-Mishirfeh town, 18 km the north-east of Homs city.

SANA reporter quoted a source at the Customs Department as saying that the car was intercepted on Homs-Salamiyeh road.

14 RPG shells, 14 propellant charges, a quantity of detonators and various types of ammunition were hidden in the car, the source said.

The car’s driver was arrested and referred to the authorities for interrogation.
