IRTVU’s General Assembly meeting to be held in Tehran with participation of Information Minister

Tehran, SANA- The General Assembly of Islamic Radios & televisions Union (IRTVU) holds its 8th session in Tehran with the participation of regional and international media establishments and figures.

IRTVU is a non-governmental international organization established by Iran and has about 230 members.

Information Minister Omran al-Zoubi and other international political and media prominent figures will take part in the meeting which will be held on August 16th and last for three days.

“The meeting has a special importance due to the serious challenges that the region is coming through, on top terrorism and Takfiri terrorism, and we have to confront them in all possible ways,” IRTVU Secretary General Ali Karimian asserted in a press conference on Monday.

Karimian added that the activities of the meeting will include inaugurating photographic Islamic news agency, unveiling of “Halal Media” new brand for cinema and television productions which will be granted to those production companies that promote pure productions, pure media and pure generations and other activities.

During the IRTVU’s activities, a global prize under the name of (Global Media Union Award) will be dedicated to a prominent artistic and media figure that had great role in making known the issues of human and society through his elegant artistic works.
