21 players, coaches to represent Syria in 2015 Special Olympics Games, USA

Washington, SANA – Competitions of the 2015 Special Olympics World Summer Games, held in Los Angeles in California in the USA continued with Syria’s participation of five games, swimming, weightlifting, table tennis, bocce, and roller skating in a team of 21 players and coaches.

The Games had started on 25th of July and are scheduled to last until 2nd of August with 6,500 athletes and 2,000 coaches representing 165 countries taking part in the competitions. The event is the largest sports and humanitarian event anywhere in the world in 2015, and the single biggest event in Los Angeles since the 1984 Olympic Games.
