Army inflicts more losses upon terrorists, killing groups’ leaders in Hama and Damascus Countryside

Provinces, SANA – Army units inflicted more losses and casualties upon terrorist organizations in continued operations backed by air strikes in various areas across the country on Friday.

Idleb

Army units targeted gatherings of terrorists in al-Sermaniyeh and Jannet al-Qura villages in southern Jisr al-Shughour in the southwestern countryside of the northern Idleb province.

A military source said many of the terrorists were killed, while an armored vehicle was destroyed in al-Sermaniyeh and a bulldozer in Jannet al-Qura.

In the meantime, SANA quoted field sources as saying that many terrorists of Jabhat al-Nusra and the so-called “Ahrar al-Sham Movement” were killed as the army targeted their hideouts in the towns of al-Taman’eh and Kafr Oweid in southern Idleb province.

The Army air force destroyed terrorists’ vehicles, dens and gatherings in the area surrounding Abu al-Dohour airport, Tal al-Fakhar, Oram al-Jwaz, al-Tamain’a and Khan Sheikhoun in Idleb countryside.

Homs

Army units destroyed ISIS dens and vehicles in the area surrounding Palmyra city, al-Basatin, Wadi al-Beid Dam and al-Bayarat area, in addition to thwarting terrorists’ infiltration attempt in Rahoum and al-Tababir in the eastern countryside of Homs.

In the northern countryside of Homs, Army units killed a number of terrorists and destroyed their ammo and weaponry during strikes against their dens in al-Zafarana, al-Rastan, Talbisa, Ezz Eddin and Deir Fuul.

Later, a military source told SANA that army units and popular defense groups are continuing to advance towards Palmyra, eliminating a number of ISIS terrorists and destroying their vehicles north and east of the marble quarries, in the eastern farms, al-Bayyarat, and the Palmyra-Homs-Damascus three-way junction.

Hama

In the neighboring Hama province, five terrorist leaders were killed as the army artillery targeted their hideout while they were holding a meeting in Toloul al-Homr village to the east of Salamiyeh city in the countryside of the province, according to field sources.

An ammunition depot and a logistic supply route were hit and destroyed at the Agricultural Research building and Bawadi al-Azib in the eastern countryside of Salamiyeh.

An Army unit killed a number of terrorists and destroyed their vehicles along with everyone on board during intensive strikes against their hideouts and gatherings in al-Latamina town northwest of Hama city.

Another Army unit killed many terrorists and injured many others in al-Rahraha village in the province’s eastern countryside.

Quneitra

An army unit targeted dens of Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists in Mas’hara village, 12 km to the east of Quneitra city.

The army operation left a number of terrorists dead and injured, and their arms and ammunition destroyed.

Al-Zabadani, Damascus Countryside

The army air force destroyed a rocket depot and artillery bases and killed many terrorists in a series of air strikes on their positions in al-Zabadani city in Damascus Countryside.

Meanwhile, a number of terrorist groups’ leaders were killed and an ammunition depot was destroyed during army operations in Douma, Harasta, Masraba and al-Rihan in Eastern Ghouta.

Hasaka

SANA reporter in Hasaka said gatherings of ISIS terrorists and their hideouts were targeted in al-Villat al-Homr neighborhood and the area between al-Bassel and al-Panorama roundabouts in Hasaka city.

Aleppo

A military source said that Syrian Arab Army units destroyed dens, gatherings, weapons and ammo of terrorists from Jabhat al-Nusra and other Takfiri militias affiliated to it in the surroundings of the Air Force Academy, Maara hill, al-Lairamoun, west of al-Nairab Airport, east of Bani Zaid, and in Khan al-Assal and Wadi Aslan in Aleppo countryside, killing a number of terrorists in the process.
