Five civilians injured in terrorist attacks in Damascus and Sweida

Damascus/Sweida, SANA- Three civilians were injured Monday morning in a terrorist attack with a mortar shell on the Umayyad Square in Damascus.

A source at Damascus Police Command told SANA that a mortar shell fell close to the Umayyad Square Tunnel, injuring three civilians and causing a material damage in the area.

On Sunday, three civilians were killed and 12 were injured in terrorist attacks with two mortar shells that targeted Sarouja market and al-Amara neighborhood in Damascus.

Two civilians injured in terrorists attack in Sweida

In the southern province of Sweida, two civilians were injured in terrorists attack against farmers, who were harvesting their crops, to the west of Ura village in the southwestern countryside of the southern province.

A source in Sweida province told SANA that a terrorist group, coming from Habib village of Daraa side Monday evening, opened fire on farmers at Al-Karkh area to the west of Ura village some 10 kilometers to the west of Sweida, where two farmers were injured and material damages caused to civilians’s properties.

“Terrorists set fire at parts of crops, while locals and peoples defense groups clashed with terrorists and forced them to escape”, the source added.

Elsewhere, terrorists of Islamic State in Iraq and Syria “ISIS”, positioning in the village of al-Qaser, to the northeast of Sweida city, targeted Monday al-Haqef village with three mortar shells, causing material damage to the citizens’ properties.
