Iran condemns ISIS terrorists’ attack against Ain Al-Arab

Tehran, SANA- Iran condemned the last terrorist attack of Islamic State in Iraq and Syria “ISIS” terrorist organization against Ain Al-Arab city in the northeastern countryside of Aleppo province.

On Thursday, ISIS terrorists infiltrated into the city coming from the border with Turkey, killed at least 120 civilians and perpetrated a massacre against locals of a village in the city’s countryside.

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Marziyeh Afkham stressed in a statement on Saturday the necessity of all Syrian people to stand together in facing terrorism and Takfiri phenomenon.

She criticized the financial and intelligence support provided to terrorists, who continue perpetrating more crimes, a move that needs cooperation and coordination among regional players in facing such a phenomenon which threatens security and stability in the region and the world.

On Saturday, units defending Ain al-Arab pushed back ISIS terrorists out of the city after two days of fighting them, and restored the sites which ISIS terrorists, coming from Turkey, occupied and perpetrated their crimes against civilian locals.

ISIS terrorists carried out several terrorist explosions at the entrance of Ain al-Arab and killed at least 120 civilians when they infiltrated the city last Thursday and also perpetrated another massacre in Barkh Boutan village in southern Ain al-Arab by shooting dead 22 residents.

Last January, the popular protection units managed to drive ISIS terrorists out of Ain al-Arab city following five months of non-stop confrontations and fierce battles during which hundreds of ISIS members were killed and scores of their vehicles were destroyed.
