Syria beats Afghanistan 6-0 in World Cup, Asia joint qualifications

Tehran, SANA-Syria’s national football team beat Afghanistan 6-0 at the opening round of the joint qualifications for World Cup in Russia 2108 and Asia Cup in UAE 2019, having the first 3 points in the 5th group.

Syrian player Raja Rafe’e scored the first two goals at the 19th and 35th minutes of the match, while Muayad Ajan scored Syria’s third goal at the 42nd minute of the match.

During the second leg of the match, Abdul-Razak Hussein added the 4th goal at 70th minute, Sanhareb Malaki scored at the 75th minute and Omar Khrebin concluded the match with the 6th goal for Syria.

With this great result, Syria came first in the group with 3 points, advancing Singapore which beat Cambodia 4-0.

The Syrian national team will meet Singapore on September 3rd.
