No change in Iran’s supportive policy towards Syria, Abdullahian reiterates

Tehran, SANA- Iranian Assistant Foreign Minister for the Arab and African affairs Hussein Amir Abdullahian affirmed Tuesday that his country’s support for Syria in its war against terrorism depends on “strategic view not a tactical movement”.

Abdullahian reiterated, in a statement Tuesday, that there is no change in “the correct policy of Iran embodied in supporting Syria”, pointing out the importance of President Bashar al-Assad’s role in facing terrorism and preserving the national unity in Syria.

He stressed that the Syrian people and army directed a strong strike against terrorism, indicating the necessity of “the independent opposition to adopt a comprehensive national dialogue and political solution for the crisis in Syria”.
