Hepatitis A cases in Deir Ezzor are within normal average

Deir Ezzor, SANA – The number of Hepatitis A cases registered in the eastern Deir Ezzor province is “within the normal average” according to international standards, the Health Directorate in Deir Ezzor confirmed on Thursday.

Dr. Abad Najm al-Ebeid, Head of the Directorate, pointed out in a statement to SANA that the Directorate will form investigative teams who will make visits to schools next week and examine children to detect any Hepatitis A or skin infections so as to have the infected children treated.

This mission, al-Ebein said, will be carried out in cooperation with the Education Directorate in Deir Ezzor.

Heath Ministry announced early last month that Hepatitis A cases registered in Syria had been within the normal average on the national level.
