Kharita, Sharaf El-Din discuss hosting comers from Lebanon and return of displaced Syrians

Damascus, SANA- Minister of Local Administration and Environment, Louay Kharita discussed Saturday with Minister of the Displaced in the Lebanese caretaker government Issam Sharaf El-Din hosting Lebanese comers to Syria as a result of the Israeli aggression on Lebanon, and the return of displaced Syrians from Lebanon.

Kharita who is the Chairman of the Higher Relief Committee highlighted the measures taken by the Syrian government to the emergency response of the arrivals from Lebanon, meet their humanitarian needs, and prepare housing centers for their residence.

He stressed the continuation of coordination of efforts with national partners and United Nations organizations to secure an organized response to the comers from Lebanon.

For his part, Sharaf El-Din pointed out the efforts made by the Syrian government, which has worked to receive and host 160,000 Lebanese refugees in housing centers and meet living necessities, coinciding with the return of 300,000 displaced Syrians from Lebanon.
