Occupied Jerusalem, SANA-World council of Churches (WCC) called for the international community to press in order to put an end to the Israel’s occupation and recognition of the Palestinian people’s right to self-determination.
The World Council of Churches has called for these measures as the only path to achieve a just and sustainable peace in the region”, Wafa agency quoted Jerry Pillay the WCC general secretary as saying in a statement on Saturday.
All states committed to the sovereignty and promotion of peace and human rights should seize the opportunity provided by the decision of the International Court of justice on ending the genocide in the Occupied Palestinian territories to re-mobilize efforts to resolve this long-standing injustice against the Palestinians, Pillay added.
