Moscow, SANA- Russian forces strengthened their positions on Kharkiv and Donetsk directions, and inflicted Ukrainian forces heavy losses in personnel and equipment.
Sputnik news agency quoted the Russian Defense Ministry as saying in a statement that Units of Russia’s North group of troops strengthened their position in the regions of Volchansk, Glubokoye, Sinelnikovo and Liptsi in Kharkiv province by targeting Ukrainian soldiers and equipment there.
A counterattack launched by the assault group of the 36th marine infantry brigade of the Ukrainian forces was repelled as the enemy’s losses reached 300 soldiers, four small trucks, and a number of cannons, the statement added.
Units of Russia’s South group of forces strengthened their positions along the front line in the areas of Katrinivka, Alexandru Scholtyno, and Gornyak in the Republic of Donetsk, inflicting the enemy casualties in personnel , as 535 soldiers were killed, in addition to destroying two armored personnel carriers, three small trucks, and American-made cannons.
