Beirut, SANA – Cardinal Mar Bechara Boutros al-Rahi, Maronite Patriarch of Antioch and All the East renewed his call for stopping the war against Syria, Iraq, Palestine and the other countries and putting an end to it through “peaceful and diplomatic means.”
“The continuation of this absurd war is a stain on the international community,” Patriarch al-Rahi said in a sermon during a mass on Sunday.
He dismissed this war as being aimed only at achieving political, economic and doctrinal gains and trading in arms without taking into consideration the innocent civilians who are being slaughtered, killed and displaced or the historic civilizations which are being burnt, destroyed, robbed and annihilated.
