Iran condemns terrorist attacks in Hasaka

Tehran, SANA Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Marzieh Afkham condemned the terrorist attacks targeted Hasaka city, northeast Syria, on Friday, claiming the lives of scores of innocent civilians.

Regional cooperation would lead to drying up sources of terrorism and extremism in the region, , Afkham hoped in a statement Sunday.

Afkham also offered condolences to the families of the victims.

On Friday, a twin-terrorist bombing took place at al-Shuhadaa Square in al-Mufti residential neighborhood, Hasaka city, claiming the lives of 37 civilians and injuring more than 96 others, most of them women and children.
