Damascus, SANA- Foreign and Expatriates Minister, Fayssal Mikdad met Monday with the WFP’s regional director for the Middle East, North Africa and Eastern Europe, Corinne Fleischer and the accompanying delegation.
The two sides discussed the standing cooperation between Syria and the WFP and the projects that it supports, including projects of supporting children and mothers ,and early recovery, which must contribute to strengthening the resilience of the Syrian people in facing the consequences of the earthquake and climate changes.
The two sides also discussed developments related to the program’s future plans, in a way that suits the priorities and needs of Syrians, and in cooperation and coordination with the Syrian government and the program’s partners in Syria.
