Temperatures below average, showers expected in northwestern, coastal regions

Damascus, SANA- Temperatures will remain below average except for the eastern region as the country is affected by a low air pressure accompanied by a relatively cold air mass in all layers of the atmosphere.

Meteorology Department expected that the skies will be partly cloudy with a chance for scattered showers accompanied by thunder sometimes, particularly in the northwestern and the coastal regions.

The wind will be westerly in the western region and it turns to be southeasterly in the other regions with a low to moderate speed and it will be accompanied with active gusts and dusty conditions in the eastern and al-Badia “semi-desert” regions, while the sea waves will be low in amplitude.

The expected temperatures in some major Syrian cities will be as follows: Damascus 20/10, Daraa 24/13, Homs 19/11, Lattakia 21/16, Aleppo 22/11 and Deir Ezzor 28/15.
