“Made by Syrian Women” exhibition held on Mother’s Day occasion

Damascus, SANA – Business Women Committee at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Damascus opened Tuesday an exhibition on the occasion of Mother’s Day in al-Jalaa Sports Hall in Mezzeh neighborhood.

A variety of art works, handmade items, paintings, accessories, clothes, make-up products, sweets and family requirements are on display at the exhibition, which was held in the framework of the national /Live Syria 2015/ campaign.

The “Made by Syrian Women” exhibition, which is scheduled to run through next Friday, will see competitions and special offers by which valuable gifts will be offered to winners and the youngest and oldest mothers participating in its activities.

SANA spoke to the exhibition’s organizer Susan Fakhri, a fashion designer and member of the Business Women Committee, who pointed out that the exhibition is the 6th one to be held by the Committee, and it was preceded by “Syrian Women Defy the Crisis” exhibition, which was held last January at Khan Asaad Basha.

/Live Syria 2015/ campaign, which has attracted various public and private establishments and bodies since its launch early this year, has seen members making special offers to provide services to citizens that cover food supplies sales, restaurants, media, hospitalization, technology, furniture, industries, trade, education, hotels libraries, legal counseling, sports clubs among other fields.

The offers were all provided at cheaper prices and in many cases free of charge.
