Syrian-Ugandan discussions to develop bilateral relations between the two countries

Kampala, SANA- Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Bassam Sabbagh, discussed Friday with the Uganda’s foreign minister Abubaker Jeje Odongo on the sidelines of the 19th Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) Summit, held in the Ugandan capital, Kampala, bilateral relations between the two countries and their development.

During the meeting, Sabbagh congratulated Uganda on its assumption of the presidency of the Non-Aligned Movement(NAM) and the presidency of the Group of 77 and china.

Sabbagh stressed Syria’s desire to strengthen and develop bilateral relations between Syria and Uganda in various fields, including through the exchange of visits between officials in both countries.

For his part, Odongo stressed his country’s interest in developing relations with Syria, especially as it plays an important and historical role within the two groups.
