Syrian-Iranian talks on enhancing trade exchange

Tehran, SANA-Syrian-Iranian Higher Committee held an expanded discussion session Saturday, chaired by Prime Minister, Hussein Arnous and First Vice President of Iran, Dr. Mohamad Mokhber in the presence of delegations from the two countries. at Saad Abad Palace in the Iranian capital of Tehran.

The discussions included areas of cooperation in energy sector, oil derivatives, transport, tractors, tires, industry, enhancing trade exchange, transportation and tourism, and the necessity of activating the role of the business sector in the two countries and establishing investment and productive partnerships to serve the interests of the two countries and the two friendly peoples.

The two sides condemned the ongoing Israeli aggression and war crimes against Gaza strip, stressing the need to halt this aggression and hold Israeli officials accountable for the crimes committed against humanity.

Arnous, stressed the Syrian government’s keenness to develop bilateral relations in various fields, and the importance of implementing all agreements and understandings signed between the two countries according to specific programs and timetables that directly reflect on the economies of the two countries.

The premier added that the Iranian companies have the priority in participating in the reconstruction process in Syria.

He thanked the Iranian leadership, government and people for standing by Syria in the face the terrorist war and the unilateral coercive economic measures imposed on the Syrian people.

In turn, Mokhber said that Syria has defeated terrorism and Iran will continue to provide it with all support.

He indicated his country’s determination to achieve a qualitative shift in economic relations contribute to improving the economic reality in Syria.
