Dubai, SANA-Prime Minister Hussein Arnous met Saturday his Pakistani counterpart Anwaar ul Haq Kakar on the sidelines of the COP28 World Climate Action Summit, which is currently being held in Dubai as part of the 28th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).
Arnous stressed the strength of Syrian-Pakistani relations, and thanked Pakistani government for supporting Syria in providing humanitarian and relief aid to people affected by the earthquake hit the country last February.
Arnous pointed out the necessity of reactivating the agreements and memorandums of understanding signed between the two countries and improving relations in all fields in a way that serves the distinguished ties between the Syrian and Pakistani peoples.
For his part, the Pakistani Prime Minister expressed his hope that the agreements will be reactivated and that all obstacles that hinder their implementation will be removed in the interests of both countries.
He also extended an invitation to Arnous to visit Pakistan with the aim of discussing means of bolstering economic, culture, and education relations between the two countries.
